How to get non football (soccer) lovers into the stadium - for example during the 2012 London Olympics Football Tournament

There comes a point when you have to get everyone into the stadium including non football lovers. This is true when it comes to major tournaments like the World Cup (for non popular matches), the Olympics, Africa Cup of nations and even league games for teams that do not have a huge following. Top Soccer Clubs use Twitter for Broadcasting

Based on a small sample of recent tweets, the world's top 20 soccer teams are using Twitter mainly for broadcasting rather than for fan engagement.  Of the 800 tweets examined, only 77 (9.6%) were ‘replies’ with a further 16 (2%) being ‘retweets’. Over 88% of tweets fall within the ‘broadcast’ category. For some clubs, Arsenal, Palmeiras, Spurs and OM, this increases to 100%. The club with the highest proportion of non-broadcast tweets is Liverpool.

Jets doing best to remedy big-hole in defense with injury to Pace

The New York Jets is fully focused on having a great 2010 National Football League season. Merriman on board when Chargers face Chiefs in NFL opener

Rams wants break-out NFL year sign NFL star Atogwe to multi-year deal

In an effort to avoid a bad year in the next National Football League season the St. Louis Rams has signed veteran NFL safety Oshiomogho Atogwe to a lucrative five-year contract. Atogwe an unrestricted free agent was signed by the Rams in an effort to avoid their NFL-worst 1-15 record in 2009.

Hamlin boost firepower of Ravens in next NFL season

The quest of the Baltimore Ravens to duplicate their 2000 Superbowl trophy got a much needed boost in the off-season of the National Football League.
