Thanks for your friend-request. I ran a sports marketing company with my partner in Japan. We are currently developing a sport specific SNS platform. Is it possible for me to create an account on your site? or is it US only service? It would be great if we can work togather.

Hi Stewart,

Thank you very much for getting back to me. It would be great to start with some information exchange first.

The sports marketing is well behind USA. Especially in the Information Technology sector. This is where we come in. We are going to make a massive database for athletes, coaches as well as sports fans to use it as a marketing data. What are some of the leading company in the US for Sports database and IT?

Pittsburgh Childrens Hospital

So today I received and email via LinkedIn from a gentleman named Don Mast, Don is Elliot Mast's father.

What made this an inspiring email was Elliot who is only 11years old has decided to dedicate the whole of his 2010 baseball season to raising funds for the Pittsburgh Children's Hospital.

His dad posted a link to Elliot's blog http://elliotmast.blogspot.com/2010/04/challenge.html and after reading and… Continue

Who are the real leaders in sport?

You would think that the overpaid and most of the time highly egotistical elite athletes are the leaders, you may even think the heads of sporting organization are, some would even say that it’s the passionate sports lover.

Well after twenty years of elite sports coaching, training a player that…

If it was easy then everyone would be doing it!

You have heard that old saying it is not what you know but who you know.

Well its blindingly true.

No matter how many, mailouts, no matter how many phone calls or emails you send out the response will always be the same. With a sweep of the hand, with a sorry sir she is in a meeting and with a single press of the delete button. Gone out of sight out of mind.

Thats the reality and thats the way it has to be.

So how do you get through.

Steelers vs. Cowboys in social media co-opetition

Finally, two sports teams that get it! The Steelers face the Cowboys this Sunday in Dallas, and thanks to some clever work by each team’s digital crews, the franchises are competing in social media spheres as well. Steelers & Cowboys are evenly matched in both realms. Both teams have 7-6 records this season, and they’re [...]

Email Power Rankings for MLB teams

How did E mail become the “other” white meat? While everyone is going crazy over social media, I suspect Email is getting overlooked and underutilized by many professional sports teams. With this suspicion on my brain I set out recently to do a little research using baseball teams as my subjects. The results of my [...]

College fans like Twitter more than Facebook for sports

If America’s major universities want to engage avid sports fans during live events, they should pay more attention to Twitter than Facebook, and they should forget about Foursquare altogether; At least what our data seem to be saying. As part of our ongoing “Social Sports Poll,” we recently surveyed social media fans and followers of [...]
