Sports Marketing 2.0

Re-thinking sports marketing now that fans are in charge

Lot of Buzz words these days, Community & Crowdsourcing being 2 of the biggest without a doubt. However, it's the methodology to extract greatness from the talented crowd that should be the focus.

For TopCoder it's pure competition. And with competition comes challenges. How do you keep a crowd motivated to compete? What incentives and perks are needed to keep adding skilled members to your crowd? How do you judge work coming from the crowd in a fair and open manner?

Well, we've been at this since 2001 and have a massive dev. community of over 182,000 people spanning over 200 countries.

For clients, no one pays for "hours", hours is a measurement of time, NOT a measurement of success. TopCoder is a delivery based model where clients pay for best and winning solutions/code/design ...

If anyone in the community is interested in talking Crowdsourcing and why this technique should be part of any 2.0 strategy and company DNA going forward, give me a shout.

Thanks everyone,

Clinton

Agencies 1 Reply

Wondering if anyone has any strategies for securing agency buys online? Are they only looking for display and search inventory? Is there a particular way to go about engaging them? Thanks, Simon
