Re-thinking sports marketing now that fans are in charge

Hey everyone,

So I wanted to share my sports app with everyone and get some feedback.

The sports app is: FanBoom.com and the idea behind it, is that we want to bring all the news sources to you so you dont have to jump around to multiple sites to get your news about your favorite teams. We also have some other cool features such as a daily email that gets delivered to your inbox with the latest news on your teams and a feed filter which allows you to read only the news source you care about.

Please let me know what you think!
Jake

Looks interesting. I'll definitely give it a try sometime soon.

This is really a neat concept. I tried to do something like this with New York City Sports back in 1998. I'm looking forward to watching this grow.

Have you considered adding an Olympic Sports module? You can get the RSS feed from www.teamusa.org for all the latest news from every U.S. Olympic sport.

Jason,

Yes we are currently working on adding Golf, Tennis, and Olympics to the site. Did you sign up for FanBoom? What did you think?

Thanks for the insight!

Jeremy,

Yeah, send it over. Are you a big Rugby fan? We are about to add support for some more sports, it all depends on how much demand and how popular a sport is. But we will definitely consider it!
