I had a chat recently with Chris Schlosser, G.M. of MLS Digital. We spoke about everything from MLS' new "Kick TV" channel on YouTube, its league-wide partnership with FourSquare, digital innovation occurring in local markets like Kansas City (Livestrong Park) and the future of MLS and social TV. Chris is a visionary leader in digital sports, and MLS is particularly interesting to me because of its young and tech-savvy fan base. Also, I just returned from Fanographie London at Emirates Stadium (home of Arsenal FC). Now that I've been over the pond, I am growing more interested in soccer every day. Watch the video below.

Last week’s news had marathon running, cricket, soccer and motor sports as well as a few media deals.
One of Malaysia’s premier athletic events, the Shape and Men’s Health Night Run is back again this year with the support of an impressive group of health and lifestyle sponsors. The run – organized by the media group BluInc – is backed by Spritzer, Fitness First, Skechers, Milo, Nivea and Rexona with GNC as the title presenter.

The spotlight last week was on marketing campaigns, new sponsorships and the usual run of media deals.
American multinational Proctor and Gamble kicked off its “Thank You Mom” campaign in Hong Kong. The Cincinnati-based manufacturer’s regional branch named two local athletes as ambassadors and will pay for their mothers to attend the London 2012 Olympics.
